The Dorcas Fund was founded from a deeply personal promise to God.

As a child, I experienced loss, rejection, and trauma. I understand what it means for a child to feel vulnerable, unseen, or uncertain about the future. Through the grace of God, my pain did not become the end of my story. It became part of the reason I now feel called to serve children and families facing hardship.

I made a vow to the Lord that whenever He gave me the ability and opportunity to help, I would do my best to support orphans, traumatized children, widows, and families in need.

That promise became The Dorcas Fund.

Under the umbrella of World Ministries International, the Dorcas Fund exists to provide practical care with dignity and compassion. Our work has reached children and families in Kenya, the United States, Philippines and Israel. Now we are preparing to serve in Malawi.

This September, we plan to visit two orphanages and a village in Malawi. Our goal is to provide essential items that can make an immediate difference in daily life; including food supplies, clothing, sanitary products, mattresses, bedding, and other basic necessities.

The heart of the Dorcas Fund is not simply to give things. It is to remind people that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

We especially desire to reach children who have lost their parents, children living in single-parent households, children affected by trauma, and those who have been abandoned, rejected, or overlooked because of disability or poverty.

Every contribution, whether large or small, helps us continue this work. A donation can help place food on a table, provide a child with clean clothing, give a girl access to sanitary supplies, or allow a child to sleep on a proper mattress instead of the floor.

We invite individuals, churches, organizations, and friends of the ministry to partner with us in this Malawi initiative.

To give, please visit:  www.worldministries.org  and click on The Dorcas Fund tab. You can also call our office at (360) 629-5248 and use your credit/debit card or send a check or money order to World Ministries Int'l, PO Box 277, Stanwood, WA 98292 and designate your donation for The Dorcas Fund.

Together, we can turn compassion into practical action and bring hope to children who need to know that their lives matter.
