Like Jesus turned his pathetic disciples into mighty apostles, David turned his men who were outcasts into his mighty men.

2 Samuel 23:14-16 King James Version

¹⁴ And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

¹⁵ And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

¹⁶ And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord.

NOTE:  A LEADER IS ONE WHO OTHERS FOLLOW!

Ephesians 3:10-11

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹¹ According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Ephesians 3:17

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Ephesians 3:20

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

David was a type of Christ.

David was the strength of Israel who built Israel.

Solomon dismantled Israel.

Luke 24:30-31

³⁰ And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

NOTE:  Breaking Bread is sacrifice.  Jesus sacrificed His life for us. 

³¹ And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Luke 24:45

⁴⁵ Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

NOTE:  Insight for foresight.  Jesus opened His disciples understanding.  Your leader opens your understanding so you can be effective and as you continue to be humble you become very effective capable of leading others.

Isaiah 6

¹ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

² Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

³ And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

⁴ And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁵ Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

⁶ Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

⁷ And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

⁸ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

⁹ And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

¹¹ Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

¹² And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

¹³ But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

CONCLUSION:  King David began from Bethlehem.  He killed the lion and the bear and did other exploits from Bethlehem.  He longed for the fresh clean waters from the well in Bethlehem at the gate.  It was inhabited now by the Philistines.     

But three of David’s mighty men risked their lives to bring David the water he longed for.  David was a humble righteous leader who poured the water out as a sacrifice to God since the water was to precious for him to drink as it risked his men’s lives.

The key is to follow a leader who is following Christ humbly and will die for Christ if necessary.  Keep your heart clean always honoring and respecting your leader as David’s mighty men did without a spirit of familiarity so rebellion or the spirit of witchcraft does not enter you causing you to become a Judas or Absalom instead of a Peter, James, or John. 

Become a mighty man of God doing great exploits like David’s mighty men winning battle after battle and uniting the kingdom of Israel. 

Within WMI, God has been cleaning up my staff so they can sacrifice their lives unto death fully trained in the word of God with understanding operating with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   

WMI is a very unique ministry that deals with the leadership of nations both politically and the church.  That means my staff has to be highly trained and humble willing to sacrifice their time, energy and resources if needed to get the job/mission done.

I have given up my life, job and career to sacrificially live in countries with little income, sleeping on the floor for six years, being threatened with prison and death, working six days per week even now.

I want all of my staff, even the women, to be trained in the word of God even earning a doctorate degree in ministry etc.

With our teaching seven days a week on radio, television, pod casts, Bible School, chapel, teaching articles twice each month etc., they have more opportunity to be better equipped in the Word of God than any staff in any church as I am also daily imparting and discipling them as Christ did. 

David did not put up with disloyalty, he even had Joab killed. I cannot afford to tolerate it ever again as it brings a curse on this ministry and the funds dry up.  My staff work directly for me, not the board etc.  If I am not happy with their performance, I have to let them go.  I will not put up with debate or arguing over policy or dress etc.  I have my standards to work with leadership as pilots do in the airlines, soldiers in the military or law enforcement and leaders do in the corporate or political world who work with leaders. 

Working on my team at WMI is a special privilege to be trained to meet with leaders in the nations and be respected as one of my team.  Together we will do great exploits and unite the church as David united Israel through many battles but finally victory. 

We are living in very perilous times. We need mighty men and women who will sacrificially serve the Lord in word and deed.  Speak the truth where you live because truth takes away deception and prayer brings conviction.  The world is under a spirit of deceivableness from the father of all lies as scriptures explain and Satan uses evil men as his spokesman.  God uses you and I to speak the truth so people are not led astray.

Please help me continue to speak the truth to the nations by my travels and daily through our programs.  All of this cost money and we cannot continue without it. 

In August 2026, we need to minister in Canada and our tickets alone will cost us about $1,700 USD. We also are due to travel to Kenya again and onto Liberia and Malawi, followed by Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, South Korea and Israel. We will need another $75,000 USD minimum to travel to these nine countries.
