Dear Intercessors,
Grasping the nature of spiritual battles is essential for effective engagement in intercession and prayer. Spiritual battles are fought in an unseen realm. The struggle is not only about visible issues but also about underlying spiritual influences. It is crucial to recognize that people are not the enemy; the battle is against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 highlights that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers and forces. Understanding that demonic entities aim to thwart God’s purposes and can influence thoughts, emotions, and actions. These may include deception, division, fear, and discouragement, which can lead believers away from their purpose.
Every battle has eternal implications, affecting not just individual lives but also communities and even nations. Developing the ability to identify signs of spiritual warfare, such as increased conflict or unusual challenges, can be crucial for preparation. You walk into this ability by being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. While it involves standing firm against attacks (defensive), it also requires actively fighting for truth and resisting deception (offensive).
Understand that you are fighting from a place of victory (Jesus has already won) rather than for victory, applying that truth to brokenness.
Effective warfare requires humility, submission to God, and reliance on His strength rather than your own.
The overarching goal of spiritual warfare is to expand the Kingdom of God and reveal His glory, making intercessors aware that their prayers can lead to divine intervention and transformation. Being attuned to the Spirit’s guidance helps you discern the specific areas to focus on and the nature of the battle.
Continually pray for the ministry to overcome and thrive in the places that God has called it.

Dear Prayer Warriors,
- We have a budget of $23,000 a month and have not been reaching it. Consequently, my wife and I have been sacrificing for others so they can get paid. Please pray this victory in so there is plenty in the store house and all can be blessed.
- We need more loyal staff. Pray that those who are self sufficient or get a retirement check come to us so we don’t have to pay any more salary.
- Keep praying for God’s favor, anointing, and protection over my family and the ministry here.
Blessings, Dr. Jonathan Hansen
