What are we to do when we pray to God, especially when we’re in desperate need and we’re met with silence? Do we conclude God didn’t hear us? Or do we think He’s not there or, worse, He doesn’t care?

I’ve prayed for something for a decade that hasn’t yet come to pass. There are months where the sting of waiting dwindles. But there are times it doesn’t, and God’s silence threatens to overwhelm me.

You can probably remember moments in your life when you felt the same way, or you might be in a season of silence right now. Experiencing somewhat of a “spiritual desertion”, if we may call it that. The sense that God has forgotten us, leaving us feeling isolated and directionless.

I have begun to see that regardless of our circumstances, the Lord is never silent. There’s a song I like to listen to, it says, “in the silence, You are speaking”.  He might not give us immediate direction or answer the prayer how or when we’d like, but he does care about the pain.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”  (Psalms 27:14)

The call to wait on God is an invitation to trust and hope. It entails believing that one day, even if today is not that day, He will make all things right. My friend once told me, 'I know you are overwhelmed, but one thing you can’t fail to have is hope.'

But through faith, we can affirm God’s loving presence, even when he seems silent, and we feel deserted. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:18) is a promise God will not break, despite how we feel.

Continually pray for the ministry and the building of the foundations for Eagles Saving Nations. We also have an upcoming mission trip to Kenya next year in January. The Dorcas Fund plan is to go to a children’s orphanage. Pray for funds to come in so we can give them the best of basic needs. We are praying for you.

Warmly, Adalia Hansen

Dear Prayer Partner:

As the world knows by now, Hamas attacked Israel out of nowhere!  Over 1,400 Jews killed, women raped and babies beheaded.  Hundreds were taken as hostages back to Gaza.

I need more prayer partners, so pray with me that I get thousands in every nation, especially America.

I need people full time helping me add members to Eagles Saving Nations.

I need more money coming in so we can air our programs on national television, because truth takes away deception and prayer brings conviction.  My Warning program is like nothing you have listened to or watched before.  We must continue to Sound the Alarm! Go to my website, worldministries.org and watch the daily programs seven days a week.  Truly exceptional guests, all speaking the truth in their fields of expertise.

I also need additional staff in the office and our media ministries.

Thank you and God's richest blessings on you,

Jonathan Hansen
