Today in America we are once again facing a civil war. The nation is bitterly divided by politics, similar to the situation in Lincoln’s time. One political party is pushing an anti-Judeo-Christian morality leading us into the New World Order, which is a one world government and pure Communism. The other party wants to continue with the Republic, which is under God, giving us our inalienable rights and freedoms.

In Lincoln’s day the question was, "If all men are created equal with inalienable rights by God Himself, why does slavery exist?" White slavery existed before black slavery, and in America some of the richest men who owned slaves were black men. Since almost the beginning of time, there has always been slavery. In America, the Native American tribes held raids against each other and took slaves from other tribes. In Africa, the different tribes attacked and enslaved one another many times, even selling them to the Arabs, who sold them to the Europeans or kept them as slaves in Muslim countries. To think that one race is superior to another, or that only one race has been enslaved, is pure ignorance and possibly even racist, ignoring the facts of history.

Abraham Lincoln only had one year of formal education, yet in my opinion, he was one of the wisest presidents that ever led America. He read the Bible from cover to cover and believed in the words, inspired by the Holy Spirit, that make up the Bible. To know God one must know the Bible, because it is God written down in the scriptures. The Bible is the inspiration of the Holy Spirit documented.

Lincoln would quote Matthew 12:25 in his speeches! He knew that a nation falls apart if it is not together in morality. He knew that there were enemies of the nation who were trying to divide the nation by twisting the word of God or outright rejecting it.

French aristocrat and author Alexis de Tocqueville studied the American people, and in his article Democracy in America he concluded, “Any free society founded on liberty, yet without a sacred moral code to govern the actions of individuals, cannot stand.”

Matthew 12:25 NKJV

25 “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

Abraham Lincoln would also use 2 Timothy 2:3 urging Americans that as good soldiers of Jesus Christ they must stand up for the truth, and if need be, fight for it in order to have a nation under God. They must defend and fight for morality, justice and truth which gives us freedom.

2 Timothy 2:3 NKJV

3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Even though President Abraham Lincoln strongly believed in the Bible and read it constantly, using it to govern his life and the nation, he was not a regular church attendee citing the hypocrisy in the churches.

Lincoln stated, “When any church will inscribe over its altar as its sole qualification for membership, the Savior’s condensed statement of the substance of both law and gospel. ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbor as thyself,’ that church will I join with all my heart and all my soul.” The Philadelphia Trumpet April 2024 page 1

What an indictment against the church! If all Christians living in America at that time would truly live by those words of Christ repeated by Abraham Lincoln, there never would have been a civil war. The same can be said today. In contemporary America today, the nation is deeply divided by pure hypocrisy and outright rejection of the Scriptures and the morality taught in the Bible. The church in America is deeply flawed and outright sick. Half the churches in America reject the morality taught in the Bible and support alternate lifestyles, etc.

Lincoln issued a proclamation appointing April 30, 1863 as “a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer.” Lincoln wrote, “It is the duty of nations, as well as men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God…and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord…We have been the recipients of the choicest blessings of heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation ever has grown. But we have forgotten God.”

“We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our hearts that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.”

I quote from Page 2 of Trumpet, “Even Abraham Lincoln was deeply disturbed by the sins of America at that time, including slavery. And though we don’t practice slavery today on the scale we did then, America’s immorality and lawlessness has grown scandalously worse in recent decades compared to what it was in the mid-19th century.

Lincoln warned that lawlessness was a national suicide!

In 1863, President Lincoln issued a proclamation to set aside the last Thursday in November as a day of thanksgiving and prayer to express repentance toward God for the mighty national sins that caused the war. He told Americans to repent of those sins!

LINCOLN’s Second Inaugural was like a sermon; in it he repeatedly quoted scripture. He mentioned God 14 times, he invoked prayer four times, and he declared slavery a sin. It is a sin and we ought to know that.

Lincoln understood that for a people to enjoy real freedom, they must have strong personal character. The Constitution will not work for a people who lack real character and faith in God! It was not designed to work for a people who cannot govern themselves.

In Lincoln’s Mentors, Michael Gerhardt writes this about the Gettysburg Address: ‘Honoring the battle as secondary to Lincoln. He had his eyes on the bigger picture’…But he delivered the Gettysburg Address in less than three minutes, and in so doing gave one of the greatest speeches ever given, by far.

“Four score and seven years ago,” he began, “our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

He was not only recalling the aspiration articulated in the Declaration of Independence. With language like “four score and seven years,” he was also echoing the Bible.

Lincoln reminded people of this extraordinary fact. America was the first nation in history to declare to the world that “all men are created equal.”

The Declaration goes on to say that all men are endowed with specific, inalienable rights by their Creator. The founders wrote that they did have the ugly institution of slavery in their midst…

Lincoln told Americans that if they don’t look to the Bible, they simply cannot know what is right and wrong.”

Ladies and gentlemen, President Abraham Lincoln was quite a president. Under his godly leadership he restored the Republic, uniting America using the wisdom he received from God. He was a true soldier/ambassador of God, willing to fight spiritually in prayer, exhortation, proclamations and speeches, but also physically if necessary for the cause of freedom and a nation united as a Republic, which means under the morality of God.

Even if Donald Trump is the next President of The United States of America, he will only delay the toppling of the Republic, as he is totally against The New World Order. He wants to keep America free as a sovereign nation.

But to save the Republic, he would have to lead a national repentance as Abraham Lincoln did. America needs to repent of alternate lifestyles and all forms of immorality. If this does not happen, America will come under judgment and I believe millions will die.

NOTE: Remember, since April 2020, I have received 25 prophetic dreams warning of Civil Unrest, Civil War and an Invasion. America is very close to real Civil War with headlines warning of such a possibility. America has also experienced intense Civil Unrest with looting, burning buildings and killing with protests such as BLM, Antifa and Hamas.

AMERICA NEEDS ANOTHER ABRAHAM LINCOLN!
