It's so easy to throw around theology and simple formulas and tell people, "You shouldn't feel like that! Where is your faith? God wants you to live in victory and constant joy! You should not be victimized by feelings of despair or depression.” There is not a single child of God on this earth who does not, at times, experience a low period of unexplained feelings of emptiness, confusion, or fear. The longer one walks with God and the deeper one goes in Him, the more one is apt to be buffeted by Satan with such hellish weapons. Do not despair or fret if you are going through such an experience at this present time.

If you allow it to happen, feelings have a way of draining your confidence in the Lord and in yourself. Your feelings, if left unchecked and are permitted to run roughshod over your spirit, can drag you down into abject despair and fearfulness. Fear has torment. Your feelings, when in control, will lie to you like the devil himself. They are like dark, broken glasses that distort everything you look at.

Have you sometimes wondered how some crazy thoughts come to your head suddenly? You are like, “Where did that kind of thought come from?”  The devil is the god of suggestive thoughts, he has mastered the act of planting crazy thoughts in people’s heads. Now, you know any thought contrary to the word of God is from the devil.

Satan works tirelessly to convince you that you’re not enough, defining you as broken and irreparable. He attacks your thoughts and uses the words of others against you. He capitalizes upon every vulnerability you have, not the least of which are unresolved emotional wounds of the past. What remains unhealed within you becomes the terrain Satan attacks to bring despair and heartache to your life. Satan wants you bitter, angry, exhausted, and hanging on by an emotional thread. If he can keep you focused on the pain, you will never discover the strength of Christ.

God created you with a longing for love, safety, belonging, security, purpose, and understanding. He wants to be the source of satisfying those desires. Unfortunately, if Satan senses an unmet longing, he will try to lure you into behaviors that promise satisfaction but, in the end, break you. Desire turned away from God brings bondage.

What you need now are action steps that will help you resist the devil and draw near to God in this great battle. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. — James 4:7 (NKJV)

We are grateful for your prayers. This month we will be in Bogota, Colombia. Pray over the territory and bind any resistance to God’s move upon the meetings. Pray also for our safety in our going and return. Lastly, pray that the meetings will be impactful.

God bless, Adalia Hansen

Dear Prayer Warrior,

March 12, 2024, we are traveling to Bogota, Colombia, South America.  March 14-17, I am leading a conference for 150 churches and leaders.  On March 18, I have a meeting at the Israeli Embassy in Bogota with the Israel Ambassador.

Please earnestly pray for traveling safety and that all would go perfectly as we clear airports, customs etc. Also, pray for God's protection for my wife and son as well as Vance Miller who is accompanying us.  Finally, pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit with a breaker’s anointing.

I also need you to pray for a financial breakthrough not only for this trip, but for more finances to go to Israel when I return.  Right now we can't go to Israel without the resources needed for this trip.

Thank you, Jonathan Hansen
