On 6/18/2003 at 1259hrs., Rev. Hansen received this prophecy for Central and South America:
"Witchcraft and voodoo, chants and charms, spirits, demons, devils and gods are worshiped and adored. Your past is haunting; your past is destructive; your past is cursed with disease, plagues and death. Yet, your past is mild in comparison with the turmoil coming in the future -- earthquakes, disease, calamities and death.
Your gods, sorcerers, witches and magicians will not be able to save you from what I am allowing to come upon your nations, lands, water and oceans.
You have denied the Truth of the Ages and I am about ready to deny you of my protection and love. Cry out to your gods and see if they will or can answer you now. They are dead and they will burn with the fire of my wrath as I clean the land of its curses, plagues, disease and death.
Yes, a New Earth is coming and you will know that I live. Come under my blood into the arms of my love, so I can protect you from what lies ahead. Come now unto me, the Spirit of God Jesus Christ is saying."
History of Belize:
Belize was the site of several Mayan city states until their decline at the end of the first millennium A.D. European contact began in 1502 when Christopher Columbus sailed along the coast. The first recorded European settlement was begun by shipwrecked English seamen in 1638.
The British and Spanish disputed the region in the 17th and 18th centuries. Britain defeated the Spanish in the battle of St. George's Cay in 1798 and it formally became the colony of British Honduras in 1854. It became a Crown colony in 1862.
The Rt. Hon. George Cadle Price of the People's United Party (PUP) became the nation's first prime minister in April 1961. He is considered the "Father of the Nation."
In 1973, the country changed its name to Belize. Belize became independent on September 21, 1981. Guatemala refused to recognize the new nation until 1992 and the two countries engaged in a border dispute. British troops remained in Belize to defend it.
In 1993, Manuel Esquival became prime minister in general elections.
Said Musa became Prime Minister in 1998. He was re-elected to a second term in 2003.
Tax increases in 2005 led to unrest and anger with the People's United Party. In the 2008 parliamentary elections, the United Democratic Party won 57% of the vote. On February 8, 2008, Dean Barrow was sworn in as prime minister. On February 11, Barrow announced his cabinet, which included Wilfred Elrington as foreign minister and Carlos Perdomo as minister of national security.
Barrow exposed his predecessor's government, saying that former Prime Minister Musa had a secret agreement with Belize Telecommunications Limited, which changed its name to Belize Telemedia Limited in May 2007. Barrow tried to reform the tax clauses with Telemedia. When the company refused to compromise, Barrow got the courts to order Telemedia to make tax payments in June 2008.
In August 2009, Prime Minister Barrow orchestrated the nationalization of Belize Telemedia Limited. On June 24, 2011, Belize's Court of Appeal ruled that the Telemedia nationalization was unconstitutional.
George Cadle Price died at the age of 92 on September 19, 2011.
The United Democratic Party won general elections in March 2012, although the party's majority was reduced.
